The Pee Pees began as a wild idea in 2013, sparked by a group of friends from Santa Clarita, CA. What started as just a side project soon became a full-blown punk band. By 2015, they were playing live shows all across Southern California.
The band was created by Jon Vang III and Josh Arrunategui, they then later recruited Connor Schaup and Tony Simone from Suburban Blight. A couple years later, Wyatt App stepped in (2017) on vocals, adding a fresh sound, energy and humor. Josh and Jon came up with the name The Pee Pees. The significance is to not take yourself too seriously. Each member brought experience from different local bands—The Dips, Lumberjacks, Suburban Blight, and Skeeter—blending their styles into a chaotic, fun, and high-energy sound that became The Pee Pees. What began as a side hustle quickly turned into a serious (but never too serious) punk rock mission.
The Pee Pees have always been about blending the raw, fast, and rebellious spirit of punk rock with a sense of humor and a healthy dose of absurdity. Their music is loud, and aggressive exactly what you’d expect from a punk band. Their songs are often comedic, capturing the essence of punk's fun and carefree side—while still keeping things raw and untamed. It’s skate punk at its finest, with riffs that come at you like a skateboarding boarder barreling down a hill. Inspiration came from the Grease soundtrack to the biting humor of George Carlin. High-energy fun with gritty realism is what The Pee Pees are all about. It’s punk rock for the weirdos, the rebels, and anyone who likes to have a good time while flipping off society’s rules. They began their musical career by throwing in covers of classic punk bands like Joan Jett, X, Antidote, The Dwarves, Aggression, and Operation Ivy and then ultimately creating their own sound.
The Pee Pees aren't just a punk band—they're a lifestyle. Skate boarding's in their blood, and it shows in their music. One of them used to be a male model, another's a techno DJ—none of them fit the typical punk stereotype. They're just here to do things their way, break the rules, and have a blast while they're at it. That's why their next record is being released exclusively on Pornhub. Why? Because punk's about doing the unexpected, flipping the script, and keeping it fun. If you're not shocked, they're not doing it right.
They dropped their debut LP Radical in 2016, with songs about skateboarding, food, sex, and feces. Their second release, The Pee Pee E Ps, followed in 2019. These musical masters have shared stages with TSOL, The Dickies, DI, and Reagan Youth.
The Pee Pees are in the studio right now, working hard on their third album. True to their punk roots, this new album is packed with all the things that make The Pee Pees, well, The Pee Pees—and that means more songs about the stuff that really matters: skateboarding, sex, food, and, of course, poop. The new album promises to be as chaotic and fun as their previous releases, with the same unapologetic attitude, fast riffs, and catchy hooks. Whether it’s riffing on the latest skateboarding tricks, the weirdness of modern hookup culture, or just paying tribute to the weirdness of life (like, you know, poop), The Pee Pees never take themselves too seriously—but they’re always serious about delivering punk music that gets under your skin and sticks with you.
This is what they had to say:
"Other bands we suggest are Dee Skusting and the Rodents, Gutter Poets, Rabid Assault, Dead Romantics, Garage Rats and Public Nuisance."
Check out this great song live! You can feel the energy!!
