Meet MUNDOS!
Coming straight from East Los Angeles, MUNDOS is composed of father and son guitarist Roman Mundo and keyboardist Nicholas Mundo, and alongside their good friend drummer Richard Mendez. Here's a small introduction of who they are, how they came to be, and their musical influences. Enjoy!
The History Behind MUNDOS
Officially Formed in 2023, coming out of East Los Angeles. It started with Roman (guitar) and his son Nicholas (keys) playing together at home. Music has always been a connection, jamming in the living room turned into full-on sessions. That bond shaped and created MUNDOS, we’re family first and band second. In 2024, we added Richard (drums)... a good friend who naturally became part of the groove.
What's the story behind your name?
MUNDOS means “worlds” in Spanish. It felt right because every song we create feels like its own little world plus, it’s our last name... Mundo
Can you describe your sound and what are your musical influences?
Instrumental groove is probably the best way to describe our sound It blends indie soft rock, R&B-inspired rhythms and soulful melodies. No words just the feeling!
Bands like Khruangbin, Hermanos Gutierez, OMA UK but honestly from indie rock to HipHop and everything in between. A lot of what we create is inspired by how we’re feeling that day and just vibing out.
Did you start with covers, or was it all original music from the beginning?
We started 100% original
No covers... no samples... just live improvisation until the music shaped itself.

We’re father and son, which is rare and honestly, it’s what makes this special. The goal is simple build something real and meaningful, not just chase streams. Create music people can vibe to.
