Kmway & Co. Music and Art's Group of the Day

Limbozine is a classic three-piece band from none other than South Central fusing elements such as rock, ska, metal, and grunge to craft a sound that's uniquely their own. They formed in mid 2020, bringing music with a new flow. Here is their story!

Musically, Limbozine comes from different backgrounds:

• Cassie (Guitar) is into indie rock ( The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys.
   
• Javi (Bass) grew up with metal, especifically Megadeth!
   
• Vodoo (Drums) has Sublime, Alice in Chains, Queens of the Stone Age and System of A Down in his background.
   

That mix of styles has created a new genre per say.

Limbozine's foundation was built through long-standing collaborations, with the guitarist and bassist having previously worked together on a ska project since high school, and the drummer joining through a workplace connection.  From their first jam session, the chemistry was instant, bringing together different styles and dynamics that resulted in an exciting new sound. 

The band's name reflects the feeling of being stuck in limbo but in private luxury, a nod to the surreal state of the world. They focus on creating original music, having released an EP titled "Automation Control" and are currently working on a new album. 

What sets them apart is their passion for the creative process, as they enjoy making music from start to finish, continually learning and improving along the way, which makes producing music more effortless over time.
