Coming in from Pacoima, California, Jet Jaguar began their musical career in 2014. Coming out of the backyard music scene, they have created their own sound thanks to their commitment to their music and the continued support of the local community. And the coolest part of them, as some of you may know, is that their name comes from a derivative of the antithesis to Godzilla. Enjoy their story!
Jet Jaguar's origins date back to 2014 in Pacoima, California, where the band members first came together after attending local backyard shows. Band members Tony (drummer), Billy (bassist), EZ (lead guitarist), and Malcom (frontman & 2nd guitar) believe destiny brought them together, allowing them to find each other and embark on a musical journey. Their style of music could be described as a mix of action and comedy with a hint of rock - it's loud and bold!
The years in the backyard scene motivated Jet Jaguars to pick up their instruments and begin the hunt for their originality. Jet Jaguar began their musical legacy by playing covers and ultimately, they were able to find their groove. Nowadays, with so much experience, they have created their unique sound and built a repertoire with their own masterful creations. The most important part about creating their own music is that they are free to explore and conquer their sound. They are eager to show their audience what they have become and can guarantee their music will have them engraved in your brain from the moment you listen to them.
This year, Jet Jaguars goal is to focus on the synergy they have created and the quick wit of improvisation while jamming live on stage. Their chemistry will develop, and their dynamics will improve with the current lineup of great musicians. As practice increases, so does the bond that it creates. A Jet Jaguar show should be a journey, showing the energy, and the atmosphere brought to the stage.
Jet Jaguar is scheduled to perform over at the Corona Punk Rock Market on April 26th. With the addition of their new lead singer, Malcolm, they're gearing up to release four new tracks later this year, which will allow them to further showcase their signature sound.
This is what they had to say:
"So many cool acts to check out, local legends Valley Echo, the Desert Pinguinos have a track called Midnight Stallion worth checking out. On the heavy side, I really like the technical prowess of SynAbsence.
But there's so many great talents in the San Fernando Valley it’s tough to pick a few.
He Who Sleeps, Dev Elephant, Pinche Perro, Corrupt, Live Long, Garage Ratz, Couch Surf, Rascal Stew, Tough Front, Mote it Be, Chicano Thunder and the Heat."
Check out this great song!
