Kmway & Co. Music and Art's Band of the Day

Meet Great Demise!

Great Demise, a high-energy duo who began their venture in Chino, California, come together to create a powerful sound that's equal parts garage rock, alternative, and grunge.  The talent behind the band is made up of Jake, who masters the drums and vocals, and Christian, who takes over on guitars, bass, and vocals. Their sound emerges from gritty guitars, pounding drums, and raw vocals , which are heavily influenced from a wide range of bands such as The White Stripes, Rage Against the Machine to Radiohead. This dynamic duo is set to take the stage by storm. Let's dive into their story!

When and How Great Demise Began...

Although Great Demise has only been active under their band name for a month, Jake and Christian bring a wealth of musical experience and history. Knowing each other since 2013, these musical masterminds collectively bring a lot to the table, drawing from their past musical work and projects.

So how did their band name originate? It's actually one of Christian's earliest creations! Around 2015, Christian penned the original song, titled "Great Demise," and years later,  had the idea to use it as the band's name. Over time, the song has undergone significant changes and will now serve as the title track and album name for their upcoming album. They have evolved musically from playing covers of bands such as Nirvana, Rage, and Muse, to transitioning to playing original music.

Style and Musical Inspirations

Jake and Christian's passion for music was nurtured from a young age and consisted of self-taught drumming and guitar playing. Jake's dad was drummer and added to the musical influence in his life that inspired his journey into the music industry.

Great Demise's style is a powerful blend of alternative, blues, punk, hard rock, grunge, and acoustic elements, reflecting their diverse influences. The music is a mix from well known artists such as The White Stripes, Rage Against the Machine, Together Pangea, Radiohead, Nirvana, Bloc Party, and Pinegrove.

Great Demise's Band Recommendation:
